Mitchell Berger is Chief Executive Officer of Howard-Sloan Search. Mitch is married, has 3 daughters. Joined the company in 1983 and assumed leadership in 1991. Under Mitch’s guidance, the organization has grown to become one of the leading global search firms. Mitch maintains a commitment to coaching people and to professionalism. His passion for coaching search consultants is matched by his enjoyment in having coached his daughters’ sports teams. Mitch holds a B.S. from Washington University in St. Louis.

Jim Conley has been with Bert Davis Executive Search since 2012 and Stephen Bradford Search since 2019. In April 2017, Bert Davis Executive Search was acquired by Howard Sloan Search. In his current role, Jim leads all operations and client engagement of the retained search division at Howard Sloan Search.
Having spent years on the search and consulting services sides of the firm, Jim has an intricate understanding of all aspects of the business. Prior to joining Bert Davis, Jim served as Co-Principal and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Operations at Reitdesign, an award-winning Brand Strategy and Marketing studio.
Jim is skilled in financial analysis, accounting, operations, marketing, and business development, and his combination of strong business savvy, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills have contributed to a number of organizations’ bottom lines. Jim is proficient in multiple operating systems and software applications and has a track record of improving operations and increasing profitability.
