In Memory of Philippe Levy, former partner of IMSA France

Our dear friend, colleague, and former partner of IMSA France – Philippe Levy passed away on Saturday, January 6th 2018. Philippe was one of the founders of IMSA and was very much valued for his wisdom, knowledge and interesting ideas, which he was sharing with all of us, as well as the sense of humour and a cheerful way of being. He was celebrating life like not many, always smiling and making jokes. He always supported partners within IMSA with a good advice, warm words and even hugs.

Philippe was representing IMSA France for two decades and only 2 years ago decided to quit the Executive Search business and took some rest. He was very proud of the organisation of IMSA, which was co-created by him 25 years ago. For the last time, he was present at the Spring IMSA meeting in Berlin in 2016, as the honorary and very much welcomed member.

Wolfgang Kasper (IMSA Germany) shared, “Philippe was an outstanding personality. I have been intensively working together with him for many years in the board of IMSA but also when consulting clients to fill vacant management positions. Philippe was a friendly and very open-minded person, an entrepreneur and absolute professional, an art lover, and even funny at times, always prepared to help and assist when needed. Absolutely reliable and loyal – a friend. He will be deeply missed”.

Jerry Chang (IMSA China) says about Philippe, “Philippe is a great friend and very professional in our executive search industry. He has a powerful character, love of work, life and great ability to build business network and friendships in a multicultural environment. As one of the founding member of IMSA, he was instrumental in developing IMSA into a global network. His loving character, laughter, jokes, cigars will be truly missed for those who shared great memories and have spent time with him both on professional and personal level”.

“He was very much human, a good listener and advisor. Always offering hep and support and saying words, which made me think about choosing the right path in business and life. He was definitely someone unforgettable and extraordinary. I will miss his attitude, optimism and the joy, which was always a part of him” says Monika Ciesielska (IMSA Poland).

Philippe was the one, who put so much impact on integration inside IMSA and was underlining the power of relationships and friendship between members. Philippe was IMSA’s pillar and he will be greatly missed.
