Duffy Group (IMSA USA) celebrates 25th Anniversary Duffy Group (IMSA USA) marked its Silver Anniversary celebrating with clients and friends at the Moon Valley Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona in June.

Kathleen Duffy Ybarra, President and Founder of Duffy Group addressed the attendees at the event: “Twenty-five years ago the recruiting industry was less complicated than it is today. Traditional recruiting firms were the primary resource companies turned to to find talent. Corporate America was skeptical when I presented our Recruitment Research model – cold calling into competitors and billing by the hour. Thankfully, I was able to convince a handful of companies to give it a try.” Corporations quickly embraced Duffy’s approach to finding passive job seekers and found it to be efficient and cost-effective – advantages that still apply to Duffy’s Recruitment Research model 25 years later.

As part of the anniversary activities, Duffy Group employees spent the day packing food boxes at St. Mary’s Food Bank and giving back to the community. This side-by-side activity, a rare occurrence in the virtual environment, was enjoyed by all. Best yet, the team helped assemble enough food boxes to provide over 24,000 meals for those in need in greater Phoenix.

To conclude the company retreat, Duffy employees spent time with trainer Mark Tortorici from Transform Talent Acquisition, honing skills and ensuring that they are keeping current with the latest marketplace recruiting trends. Employees also engaged in a lively session with Mikey Maynard from Predictive Group. Mikey reviewed the Predictive Index Surveys and explained how the PI surveys provide insight into the styles and behaviors. This assessment tool is fascinating and is a great way to gain understanding and appreciation of the broad cross section of personalities in any organization.

Duffy Group’s Vice President and Practice Leader, Pat Buckley summed up everyone’s feeling when she said in her presentation to the meeting attendees: “[Twenty-five years is] an amazing feat. It wasn’t always easy given market conditions and challenges. But you, Kathleen, made it look easy. And fortunately, we are blessed to have the best clients in the business - true partners, that we enjoy working with every day. Congratulations on your wonderful achievement, your silver jubilee! Here’s to the next 25 years and going for the gold!”
